A Collectors Guide To Warcry

There are a lot of fighters in Warcry, and listbuilding can be a daunting task with hundreds of heroes and allies to choose from. This is a 'collectors guide' of sorts, which lists most commonly used allies and thralls for every faction. Be sure the watch the accompanying video for my comments on each of these choices, what they are used for and why they are on the list.

A Note on damage categories: There is a lot of overlap in the damage categories; something like a Gutlord can kill big things, midrange and chaff equally but its more about their battlefield role and damage profile. As a general rule of thumb:

Heavy Damage: 3/6, 4/8 or 5/10 profiles belong here and can go toe to toe with other Titan style fighters. There are some exceptions where fighter abilities (ref. Deathbringer) will also give it this role.

Mid-Range Damage: The bulk of the 2/X fighter profiles will typically be in this category. The idea is that they should be able to kill a 20W fighter in a couple of rounds of combat.

Chaff Blenders: Will typically ALSO contain 2/X fighters (likely 2/4 profile) but might also have high volume of attacks and/or additional abilities that make them particularly suited to killing multiple low-wound fighters in a turn.

Control: Will be fighters typically with Nets but can also include other tricks such as Pulls, Pushes, and AP modifying abilities. Area control also comes into play with these fighters.

Speed: For faster then average fighters. Good for objective missions, Treasure, or otherwise getting to where they need to go quickly to apply pressure.

Tank: For the more defensive fighters either with high wounds/toughness or abilities that improve their longevity and/or leverage their defensive stats in the case of the Lord of Plagues.

Buffs & Utility: Typically with Movement or Attack buffs but also extending to other useful tools such as Resurrect

Great Chaff: Containing better then average Chaff units either in stats, abilities, or both.
